Prior to becoming a country music star and TV sensation, Morgan served seventeen years serving our country in the Army and Army Reserve and in 2023 enlisted in the Army Reserve, continuing his military career. Morgan remains an avid supporter of America's military personnel and has made more than sixteen overseas trips to perform for our troops. He is a member of the U.S. Field Artillery Hall of Fame and recipient of the USO Merit Award. In 2018 was awarded the Army’s Outstanding Civilian Service Medal, one of the highest awards the Department of the Army can bestow upon a civilian, in recognition of his significant dedication to our military men and women around the world. He remains committed to supporting active duty and veteran members of our military through work with Operation Finally Home, the USO and more.

FIRST HUNT FOUNDATION CONNECTING HEROES & HUNTERS

First Hunt Foundation Connecting Heroes & Hunters has tremendous respect and admiration for our national and local heroes. All veterans and first responders understand mission, teamwork and the desire to serve. We work to connect these heroes to a new mission of recruiting new hunters and helping those in their own ranks learn about conservation and hunting. All program activities are 100% free of charge to all participants and the foundation has no paid staff. All fundraised money goes directly to support Veterans and First Responders in the program.

The vision of Connecting Heroes & Hunters is to ensure that veterans and first responders always have an avenue to discover a new collective purpose and unified bond in serving their community. This helps prevent the tragedy of being lost in transition. As well as, the national need to keep our hunting heritage alive today, tomorrow, and forever.

The mission of Connecting Heroes & Hunters is to provide veterans and first responders with a renewed sense of purpose and mission focus through mentorship in hunting, conservation and the love of our natural resources. This skillset is critical to the foundation’s message of preserving our Great American Heritage.

Based in Plains, Montana, the organization is led by a retired Army officer and former first responder, who knows first-hand the importance of helping veterans finding a new mission after leaving service. If you are interested in learning more about this new program contact FHF’s Connecting Heroes & Hunters Director, Rich Cotte at richc@firsthuntfoundation.org.

Please join us in supporting our service members next step after all of the support they have provided us. We look forward to seeing you at the show!
